Artistic Criticism in the Fair Use Kinda Way

About one of the only good things TikTok has done for is to introduce me to the accounts Pura Arte and emerson_movies which introduce my to another side of cinema, but I’m trying to talk about Heinrich Lefler’s art for some Austrian calendar or something.

My favorite part of this one is how their at work, and they just fuckin’ around like they don’t care. It reminds me of my days working as a Home Depot Garden associate and how they had all these hot chicks working there, like in the above art piece. Notice that although the colors are rather desaturated, and also it’s a workday, that the two on the side there don’t let it stop them from being fools together. I think there’s nothing better to do after this Friday workday than to look at this and meditate on what a happy community might look like in real life. Also, Pura Arte has the best music to go with this meditation. It’s definitely a top G account to follow.

This one makes me think of my beauty standards and I guess that’s the main reason I like looking at it. So then, what exactly do I think I’m seeing? I am drawn to the one with the harp most; long-black hair; getting lost in it like getting lost in the deep woods; the gentle resistance of it as my hands stroke through. She is gentle, sweet, maybe a little shy, but no one knows how to hold your hand better than someone who plays string instruments. May we meet again on those other shores.

Ok this is the last one for you freeloaders tonight. It’s about the Christ child and Father. I look at the angel and woman above and I think about a perfect union I want for myself. Then I look to the Father; it fills me with such sorrow to see him so old and tired. The age difference between him and the Christ child makes me think the father must have been around the age of fifty before he found true love to have a child with. I bet she probably dies on him him like three years into the marriage or something. Anyways, I look at the father and think about how much he must have wanted that perfect union too.

The Christ child gives a very penetrating stare because I don’t understand exactly what my connection to him is. I believe that Christ was fully human and divine because I think that means our personal connection to Jesus Christ is to be found in our humanity. So I guess the Christ child makes me wonder how well I know what our own humanity really is and what it might really be able to accomplish for the greater good.

Ok, so it is Friday and this artistic criticism I just did, which means the art is all fair use, did end up tiring me out. So I guess we’ll connect again next week. I don’t know about everyday of the week, but I’ll definitely try to connect with you at least once.
